A little of our history
The namesake of our company was Irvin Raphael, pictured here where he was happiest – behind the wheel of a school bus!
In 1927, Jacob Raphael traded a racehorse for a school bus and entered the student transportation business.
More than 90 years later, the Raphael family is still at it. Irvin Raphael purchased Rossmeyer & Weber Bus Lines, Inc. (circa 40’s) and actively ran line-run buses, charter buses and school buses over the next 5 decades.
We downsized our charter bus business in the early 2000s and focused on expanding our school bus fleet.
Why we’re the choice for bus services
We have a modern fleet with approximately 60% air-conditioned buses.
Our company is big enough to accommodate large jobs but still small enough to build relationships with our customers – whether they are a daycare director who books multiple trips a week or a one-time customer who is using our services for a family party.
Our fleet has the latest technology in safety equipment (child reminder systems, danger zone awareness sensors and cameras).
We’re about Customer Service!
We are more than just family-owned, we are family operated. When you book a bus, 2 out of 3 times you will have some communication with one of our family members. We quote trips, route bus runs, dispatch drivers, drive buses and so on.
We care! We care about our employees, our customers and the safety of all of our passengers.
To help insure we are providing the safest transportation possible, our drivers are continually trained throughout their employment with us.
We get involved!
Eric K. Raphael is a former president of the New Jersey School Bus Contractor’s Association.
Three generations of our family have been involved in various School Bus Owner’s Associations in New Jersey.
We’ve been involved in multiple local community events or charities such as “stuff the bus” and we always sponsor campers.
On average, we have 150+ employees in our in East Brunswick office.
